Bizdom is an entrepreneurship accelerator that provides seed funding and intense mentorship to entrepreneurs looking to launch and grow innovative tech-based startups in the downtown urban cores of Detroit and Cleveland. Bizdom is a three-month program that has three accelerator sessions per year in both Detroit and Cleveland, each city launching approximately 18 companies annually.
.
Bizdom is a nonprofit that was founded by Dan Gilbert, Chairman and Founder of Quicken Loans and Majority Owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers.
.
Upon acceptance into the accelerator, Bizdom invests up to $25,000 in seed funding in the startup in exchange for eight percent equity. Throughout the three-month accelerator, each startup receives intense mentorship and access to numerous experts in the area of sales, marketing and technology from our extensive network from the Quicken Loans family of companies and beyond. Entrepreneurs are also provided with a dynamic, collaborative workspace, potential introductions to outside investors and more.
.
Bizdom uses proceeds received from its share of ownership in the startups to seed future startups launched in Detroit and Cleveland.
